Education Desired: High School and Work Experience

Skills Required: Minimum of 3 years UNIX System Administration Experience and 3 years Microsoft Operating System (Win2K, 2003) administration experience. Security+, or equivalent commercial certification.

Skills Desired: (Highly Desired) Completion of AOC System Administration Initial Qualification Training Course. (Desired) TBMCS Force Level experience and USAF Systems Administration expertise. (Highly Desired) Operational AOC System Administration experience. (Highly Desired) Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), A+.

Position Description: Function as an Systems Administration for an information processing organization that provides field level support for operations worldwide, including: Provide operational and technical assistance for operating systems, security administration, monitoring and tuning system performance, capacity planning, operating system and application patch installation and configuration, installation and administration of DNS (Domain Name Server), Mail, NIS+ (Network Information Services +) and Web infrastructure services, and related technical support functions.

Interface supported systems with other managed domains and sites. Assist with planning and coordinating future system requirements. Assess the performance of systems and related applications affecting theater air and space operations. Plan and support system demonstrations involving the supported C2 systems in deployable and fixed garrison environments. Troubleshoot, resolve and document operating system, hardware, network and application deficiencies related to maintenance activities, system performance issues and configuration changes. Receive, manage and maintain system documentation, notices and other related data, such as commercial manuals and publications, Software User’s Manuals, Version Description Documents, test and assessment reports and training materials. Additionally, the contractor shall assist in maintaining the current technical library.

Provide technical support for the installation, upgrade and verification of supported C2 System commercial and government products. This includes, when directed by authorized government representative, re-engineering system configurations to meet mission requirements and integrating intelligence systems into the supported C2 System infrastructure. Advise and assist with incident analyses, investigations and failures involving system administration issues. Participate in Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of C2 systems and new technologies. Assist with development and evaluation of training plans, and training related to system administration. Provide on-site support to research and development efforts relating to the Weapon System and/or TBMCS integration, operation, and testing in support of test and exercise events. Support will be on an ad hoc basis and may require CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Security Clearance: US Secret, with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, ITS will only consider applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
